ICO Nepal Health participated in another eye camp at Paiyun Rural Municipality in the Parbat District. It took four hours by four-wheel drive to reach the location from Pokhara (the 2nd largest city in Nepal). A total of 1,052 patients received vision and general health checks. Five hundred pairs of free reading glasses were distributed. Forty-six patients received the gift of sight through free cataract surgeries, which were performed at the local school. The camp lasted for a total of three days with ICO paying for all of the logistics, including glasses, medicine, food, and transportation. Nepalese doctors generously donated their time. The next ICO health camp is planned for the end of October. Thanks to all donors for making this happen!
