During the break for the Guinean rainy season from August-October, we completed major repairs and tiling to the school outhouses so that all of the boys and girls had a more sanitary experience. While the military coup disrupted the beginning of the 2021 school year for students, teachers, their families and communities, the transition to a new democratic government is happening peacefully.
As always, we’ve continued to keep to our regular funding schedule throughout the year to ensure income continuity for the teachers, which also benefits the community. The 2021 – 2022 school year started on October 28th, and our classrooms are very crowded with more students than ever before!
We had 295 students sign up to attend this year and would love to be able to hire more teaching staff to maintain the high quality of instruction that our teachers deliver
