ICO Health Camp in Thapathana-2, Parbat District

We are thrilled to share that ICO recently sponsored a health camp in the remote hills of Thapathana-2, Parbat district. This camp focused on women’s health, providing essential gynecological care and Pulmonary Function tests to 64 women.

Lung health is a significant concern in remote Nepal due to the common practice of cooking with wood in enclosed areas. Additionally, many women suffer from prolapsed uterus as a result of returning to fieldwork soon after childbirth.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the two Nepalese doctors and five medical assistants who volunteered their time and expertise. Their efforts included general health assessments for all patients.
