I am sad to share that all the families with ICO loans who have been raising chickens were negatively affected by the recent bird flu. Vanny, who is the leader of the Women’s Network in Snoul, has switched to raising pigs instead of chickens. Most loan recipients are doing what they can to recuperate losses; however, they are still holding strong and continuing with the remaining chickens in their care.

I hope to visit the area this summer to connect with all loan recipients and find out how we can better support them in the future. The families who are raising pigs were not affected, and they will continue with their plans.
