Teachers and students in Kenya alike are excited to be returning to a regular school year after two compressed years. The compressed years were a result of schools being closed for two terms due to COVID lockdowns. This meant it took two years of having 4 terms per year, rather than the normal 3, for them to catch up. The compressed terms put pressure on everyone to cover the content in time and we are so proud of all of our students for pushing through.
A special congratulations to Benard who graduated!! He is the eldest student we have been sponsoring and the first to complete grade 12.
As the average age of the students we sponsor increases we now have a total of four students in high school, one in his second year and three just starting their first year.
Thank you to all of the sponsors and donors that have made it possible for these students to get to where they are today!
