It is exciting to announce that we are now able to support 24 students as we welcome Shantel and Sharleen, the latest two children to be sponsored! The twins are six years old and have a great love for dancing, singing, and drawing. When they are older, they hope to share their infectious joy with younger generations in the pursuit of teaching.
It has been a trying year for all of the students and teachers in Kenya and we want to congratulate them on making it through the first of two compact years. Due to early COVID shut downs both 2021 and 2022 will each have an added term. This means that both teachers and students will need to do a third more each year! Although this pressure is seen in some areas, we are proud of all the students and how well they have done.
We thank all of those who helped contribute to our Christmas Hampers this year as over 200 students received food hampers to help sustain their families over the holidays. In addition, the teachers and older students at the Little Ray of Hope school did a fantastic job of compiling and distributing these goods to so many little ones.
