Welcome to New Hope Schools Society

Imagine... your child never attending school

Imagine... a village of 15,000 people and no school for miles and miles

Imagine... being seven years old and knowing you are doomed to subsistence living forever, just like your parents and grandparents because none of you can read or write

Imagine... how a few bricks, books and a beloved teacher could change their world forever

Imagine... this dream becoming a reality...

Busabaga village in rural Uganda, was a forgotten village until New Hope Schools Society members decided to lend a helping hand. New Hope Schools Society is a registered non-profit society based in Victoria, British Columbia. A building project is underway (see Projects for more details) but as fast as the rooms are built, more children want to attend. The school will re-open in February 2007 with 250 children in attendance. The class configuration ranges from Pre-school/Kindergarten through Grade 3 equivalents.
